About Us

Managed by a board of six volunteer directors, the Boonthamurra Native Title Aboriginal Corporation works hard to create opportunities and outcomes for all Boonthamurra People.

The board has a responsibility to members of the Corporation, as well as to the broader Boonthamurra community who make up the Boonthamurra ‘native title holders’. On top of that, we also have a responsibility to do the right thing according to relevant legislation, most importantly the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) and the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2007 (Cth).  The Corporation’s Rule Book combines all of these responsibilities, and sets out the rules by which the Corporation must be governed. Importantly, these rules are also shaped by the values and customs of our people.

Membership is open to any and all Boonthamurra people who are over the age of 18. Simply fill out a membership application form (below) and provide it to a director.
